JOB TITLE : SLI Forklift Operator DEPARTMENT : Manufacturing
JOB SUMMARY : The SLI Forklift Operator is responsible for moving and handling materials within the manufacturing facility by following the work instructions pertaining to the following essential functions and processes. This position is responsible for responding when paged by operators to assist in production needs. The SLI Forklift Operator is responsible for labeling hazardous waste and scrap containers, and the operator will comply with all plant Health, Safety and Environmental rules.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS : The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand / walk for 8-10 hours at a time. Bending, twisting, and turning. Full use of both hands to finger, handle, or fell objects, tools, or tooling; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel crouch or crawl; talk to hear. The employee must be able to lift or move up to 75 pounds frequently and in excess of 140 pounds infrequently. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Must follow OSHA guidelines on respirator fit testing and proper wear. Will wear goggles or face shield at all times while in department.
