Position Overview: The Project Manager - Damage Claims is responsible for overseeing and managing the entire claims process for property damage, liability, and other types of losses. This role involves coordinating with various departments, ensuring efficient and fair handling of claims, and implementing strategies to improve claims management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead and manage projects related to damage claims, ensuring timely and effective completion.
- Claims Review and Analysis: Oversee the review and analysis of insurance claims to determine their validity, completeness, and eligibility.
- Investigation Coordination: Direct and coordinate thorough investigations, including gathering necessary information from claimants, witnesses, and other relevant parties.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of all findings, actions taken, and communications related to each claim. Prepare comprehensive reports on claim outcomes, trends, and recommendations.
- Stakeholder Negotiation: Facilitate negotiations with claimants, attorneys, and other stakeholders to achieve fair settlements.
- Process Improvement: Develop and implement strategies to improve claims handling processes and ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Education: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
- Experience: Proven experience in project management, claims analysis, insurance, vendor management support (i.e. third-party damage recovery vendors)
- Skills: Strong leadership, analytical, research, and communication skills; proficiency in project management software and tools.
Additional Duties:
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Risk Management and Legal, to address complex claims.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and improve claims handling processes.
This role is crucial for ensuring that damage claims are managed efficiently and effectively, helping to maintain the integrity and financial stability of the claims team.

Working Conditions: This role falls into our hybrid work model working in the office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. On Mondays and Fridays, teammates on the hybrid schedule will have the option to work from the office or home. There is an expectation of collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter that could require travel.
The salary range offered for this position is $91,200-$125,400 annually. A candidate’s offer is determined by various factors including but not limited to, depth of experience, role-related knowledge and skills, relevant education or training, internal alignment, and work location. Depending on the position offered, the compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of a discretionary annual cash bonus or commissions, and equity incentives. Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Employees will also receive a minimum of 18 days of paid time off each year and 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
