Role
As the External Affairs Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting Crown Castle's community relations and external affairs efforts. Your responsibilities will include researching and scheduling meetings with key jurisdictions, drafting community and stakeholder presentations on ongoing deployments and innovative technologies, monitoring news and policy developments, and creating briefings. You will help represent Crown Castle in meetings with government officials, industry associations, third party organizations, and community groups, advocating for policies and regulations that support the company's growth and competitiveness. You will also gain experience working cross-functionally with our internal teams, lobbyists, and public relations consultants in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Work Plans: This role falls into our hybrid work model working in the office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. On Mondays and Fridays, teammates on the hybrid schedule will have the option to work from the office or home.
Compensation Information: The hourly pay offered for this position is $19.50 per hour.

Responsibilities
- Research and schedule meetings with key jurisdictions and stakeholders.
- Assist in drafting community and stakeholder presentations on ongoing deployments and innovative technologies.
- Monitor news and policy developments relevant to Crown Castle.
- Create briefings for the manager and director for meetings with industry peers, trade groups, and legislators.
- Support the manager and director in representing Crown Castle in meetings with government officials, industry associations, third party organizations, and community groups.
- Advocate for policies and regulations that support the company's growth and competitiveness.
- Collaborate with lobbyists and public relations consultants.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams.
- Participate in External Affairs rotational learning program with departments including, but not limited to, Network Permitting and Utilities, Network Design and Construction, Corporate Affairs, and Real Estate Litigation.
- Participate in shadow days in the field with our East Area Network Design and Construction teammates.
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited higher education institution
- Preferred field(s) of study: Public Relations, Communications, Political Science, Urban Planning, Business Administration, Pre-Law, Public Policy, or related field
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) from June 2 to August 8, 2025
- Authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time, regular basis without additional sponsorship
