Role
As a member of the Network Business Performance Reporting and Analytics department, the Lead Business Analyst is responsible for leading analytics processes nationally across multiple functions and stakeholders to develop business intelligence solutions to support operational planning and execution.
They will leverage expert technical knowledge, industry experience, and be highly collaborative with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain scalable data collection, cleaning, visualization, and modeling solutions that meet business objectives and user requirements. The Lead Business Analyst will navigate ambiguity independently, be a source for continuous improvement for the department, and mentor junior members of the team to do the same.

Working Conditions: This is a remote role with the expectation of on-site collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter. Travel up to 20% may be required.

The salary range offered for this position is $107,600-$147,950 annually. A candidate’s offer is determined by various factors including but not limited to, depth of experience, role-related knowledge and skills, relevant education or training, internal alignment, and work location. Depending on the position offered, the compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of a discretionary annual cash bonus or commissions, and equity incentives. Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Employees will also receive a minimum of 18 days of paid time off each year and 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.

Responsibilities
- Lead the development of data-driven solutions to improve business performance.
- Establish effective communication with analytics peers and cross-functional stakeholders to understand business needs before developing solutions to meet objectives.
- Partner closely with business, finance, and technical teams to gather data sources, evaluate inputs and outcomes, and define logic and definition.
- Leverage technical knowledge and industry experience to determine the optimal analytic approach to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions.
- Analyze complex data sets and create reports and visualizations that effectively communicate insights and recommendations to business stakeholders.
- Deliver reports that are accurate, timely, and complete. Provide technical support and regular updates to end users.
- Document business purpose, data sources, definitions, methodology, and description of the reports.
- Develop and deliver training on data analysis and reporting tools to end users.
- Mentor and transfer knowledge of business intelligence tools to other teammates.
- Stay up to date on emerging trends and best practices in analytics, data management, and technology.
- Bachelor of Science degree in a quantitative discipline: statistics, applied mathematics, business analytics, computer science, engineering, economics, or related field.
- Seven (7) years of work experience with business intelligence or data analytics.
- Expert proficiency with Power BI including expertise with star schema, Power Query M, DAX, creating measures, dataflows, datasets, as well as role level security and permissions management.
- Proficiency with SQL is required, Python or R is preferred.
- Successful track record of successfully delivering complex interdisciplinary projects.
- A team first attitude with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate with all stakeholders - technical, non-technical, executives, and individual contributors effectively and comfortably.
- Strong consultative, critical thinking and analytical skills with ability to operate strategically and build effective partnerships across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Strong analytical, design, data modeling and problem-solving skills. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Skilled at effectively managing multiple projects and changing priorities to deliver reports and insights on schedule in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Able to positively contribute to team culture, and mentor, teach, and grow others.
- Able to quickly learn new technologies and apply appropriately to business situations.
