Key Responsibilities
- Familiarize yourself with plant safety rules and required personal protective equipment at all times
- Evaluate safe operation practices
- Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment
- Install and modify mechanical equipment as needed
- Conduct repairs on manufacturing equipment such as conveyors, pumps, piping and other mechanical equipment
- Perform simple to intermediate equipment installations and pipe connections
- Maintain adherence to environmental, health, safety and housekeeping programs
- Rebuild production equipment
- Inventory spare parts
- Assist with troubleshooting production and facilities equipment breakdowns
- Guarantee safety precautions and proper methods of preventative and predictive maintenance on various types of equipment
- Ensure your work area remains neat, clean and free of debris

Requirements
- Mechanical background or experience is essential
- You must be able to train during first shift (6:45 AM - 3:00 PM)
- Ability to operate forklifts, gantry and aerial lifts
- Comprehensive understanding of rigging, welding and fabricating
- Physical ability to lift up to fifty pounds occasionally and regularly stand, stoop, reach, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb and balance
- Ability to work an eight hour shift; frequent overtime may also be required
