Job Description:
As a Tool & Die Maker - Journeyman, you will be responsible for setting up and operating machine tools to produce tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, component parts, and products. Your tasks will include turning, facing, threading, drilling, reaming, boring, tapping, milling, grinding, knurling, rolling, cutting, etc., on various materials to exacting tolerances.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will need a thorough knowledge of machine shop and toolroom practices and techniques, as well as experience working with ferrous, non-ferrous, and non-metallic materials. You should be proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers, and have a proven ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics.
