North St.Bradley, IL.Position Overview : The Printer Operator works closely with the Manufacturing Supervisor to ensure the printing a quality product that meets or exceeds customer expectations.JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Duties And Responsibilities : Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, the Front-end Operators responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following :
- Responsibility of maintaining activities of the printer / decorator beverage cans with a focus on optimizing Safety, Quality, Productivity and Spoilage.
- Ability to operate, safe operation, and the maintaining of decorator equipment.
- Communicates all pertinent information between the supervisor, quality control, departments, and between shifts on changes to equipment, production problems or any other related information.
- Assists and trains and / or coaching of all new operators as needed or required.
- Applies skills, methods to improve plant production.
- Inspects product to ensure compliance to quality standards
- Responsible in maintaining quality and modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimal efficiencies.
- Complete and / or administer necessary documentation such as production sheets, schedule, monthly SAFE cards, accident / near miss / hazard reporting and process control sheets.
- Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned.In addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following : Minimum Requirements
- High School Education / GED
- 2-3 year(s) in setup / operating / adjusting printing decorators in a manufacturing environment.
- Able to operate, read, understand, measuring x rite color density guage, and computers.
- Must be available to work various shifts if needed and be able to work nights, weekends, and overtime to cover absences or provide additional support.Preferred Requirements
- 10 Hour OSHA Certification
- Operation of a Rutherford Printer
- Beverage Packaging industry experience
- Ink toning knowledgeCompetencies
- Problem solving skills through an individual and / or collaborative approach.
- Ability to work independently or with a team.
