Job Summary
This temporary summer position offers a unique opportunity to join the Crown Aerosol Business Unit, working on a range of tasks that contribute to the success of our global clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain regular attendance and adhere to Company guidelines regarding plant operations.
- Perform all duties in accordance with Crown's Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Rules, and Safe Start Principles.
- Complete relevant department/union training programs.
- Break down boxes and refill hoppers with frames and chipboard.
- Conduct quality inspections by observing cans for defects such as scratches, dents, dirt, grease, mis-assembly, or broken chunks.
- Label pallets correctly.
- Operate a control panel and manual handle to advance layers of cans as needed.
- Monitor the overall process.
- Refill banding spools and stretch wrap as required.
- Promote general clean-up and good maintenance in the work area.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Able to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and regularly lift between 10 lb. and 50 lb.
- Ability to stand at the workstation for the duration of the scheduled shift, which may exceed 8 hours per day.
- Able to perform basic math calculations.
- Proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
- Able to work all assigned shifts and comply with time and attendance policies.
- Able to work in varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Able to collaborate effectively with others.
