This position plays a critical role in ensuring the facility's compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety laws, regulations, and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain conformance to federal, state, local, and corporate environmental, health, and safety standards, as well as documentation.
- Ensure timely completion and documentation of employee training regarding regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and address audit findings and corrective actions from corporate and plant environmental, health, and safety audits.
- Certify key managers in Level I, II, and III compliance training.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for the plant.
- Implement the "Safe Start Program" focusing on Human Factors throughout the Plant.
- Provide new employee safety training as part of our onboarding program.
- Analyze injury root causes and incident reporting.
- Prepare contingency plans and emergency preparedness strategies.
- Promote pollution prevention and waste minimization initiatives.
- Manage hazardous waste, air programs, water programs, and community Right to Know responsibilities.
- Conduct evacuation drills and emergency take cover procedures.
- Compile data for SARA Title III reporting, including Tier II and Form R reports.
- Assist with Title V Air Emission reporting, contingency planning, and chemical exposure management.
- Maintain hazard communication protocols.
- Manage noise exposure and audiometric practices.
- Evaluate control of hazardous energy processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in an environmental, health, and safety role.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Ability to work varying shifts and extended hours to support employees.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and environmental software applications.
Preferred Requirements
- Professional EHS certifications.
