The EHS Coordinator is a critical role at Crown Cork & Seal USA, Inc., responsible for ensuring facility compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. This involves overseeing training and documentation for employees, conducting audits, managing safety programs, and performing root cause analysis of injuries.
This position requires a strong background in Occupational Health and Safety, with experience in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess effective communication and training skills, as well as proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and various environmental software programs.
Responsibilities include ensuring facility conformance with all applicable federal, state, local, and corporate environmental, health, and safety laws, regulations, policies, and guidelines. This includes maintaining appropriate documentation, monitoring follow-ups and corrective action resulting from audits, and developing and delivering safety training programs.
The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, a proven leader, and self-starter. They must be equally comfortable working in a team environment as well as independently, with the ability to deal with internal and external customers at various levels. Effective presentations and training skills are essential, as is the ability to work any shift and extended hours to support employees on all shifts.
