The Industrial Electrician dismantles, inspects, determines the source of trouble, repairs, adjusts, or replaces faulty parts and wiring on machinery, equipment, motors, generators, power distribution and control panels, circuit breakers, rectifiers, electronic devices, etc.
Reassembly, testing, and adjustment for safe and proper operation are necessary.
Making power cable splices and working hot lines as required.
Fabricating brackets and miscellaneous parts, soldering, silver soldering, and bracing as required.
Cutting, threading, and installing conduit.
Removing and replacing obstructions, parts, and equipment to gain access to trouble areas and fulfill job duties.
Completely wiring and maintaining building and structures, including lighting fixtures.
Computing load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
Performing preventative maintenance.
Keeping own work area and equipment clean and orderly.
