Job Description
Production Line Maintainer
The Production Line Maintainer will be responsible for maintenance of and operating a production line or designated area of the production line, performing quality checks and making mechanical adjustments to the line based on the quality readings.
- Responsible for the mechanical performance of automated production machines and equipment that performs one or more functions in the making of high-quality steel cans.
- Make necessary adjustments, repair, and/or changes to equipment and machines.
- Direct and assist in set up equipment and changeovers.
- Daily use of micrometer, dial indicators, and other precision measuring equipment to make educated decisions in the operation of machines and equipment in area of responsibility.
- Use SPC and Process control to maintain production of quality products at all times.
- Communicate pertinent information between management, co-workers, and between shifts on changes to equipment, production problems or any other related information.
- Responsible in following SOPs, Plant Rules, 6S Housekeeping, maintaining equipment and modifications of existing production standards to achieve optimal efficiencies.
- Participate in plant Safety programs.
- Attend shift meetings and participate as needed.
Requirements
Work Environment
Ability to stand/walk for 8–12-hour shifts.
Generally, works in a plant environment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to light lifting, warehouse forklift traffic.
Production noise level is frequently loud.
