Crown Cork and Seal USA, Inc., a world leader in the packaging industry, seeks skilled Production Line Mechanics for its Specialty Packaging operation in Belcamp, MD.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years' experience in close tolerance manufacturing equipment maintenance.
Responsibilities include safely operating production lines, performing breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting problems, conducting preventative maintenance, and quality checks, while participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
A qualified candidate must be safety-conscious, dependable, and committed to quality. They should possess strong mechanical aptitude, ability to troubleshoot manufacturing equipment, and perform quality checks according to set standards.
The ideal candidate should also be able to change machinery, set up machines, make adjustments as needed, remove machine parts/tooling for repair, and demonstrate high attention to detail. Preference is given to candidates with demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to read, write, and speak clearly for necessary daily documentation and communication.
This role requires availability to work any shift, possible overtime as needed to meet customer requirements, including weekends, and ability to stand for long periods of time in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
Candidates must wear required PPE and follow all safety rules, and possess or obtain own tools required for the job.
