  • Job Accountabilities :
  • Crown CAPP Division USA – Aurora plant is seeking a Production Scheduler. As akey member of the team, the Production Scheduler will work closely with theProduction Planning Manager to monitor and identify opportunities for lead-time improvement. This person will establish effective communication withvarious groups such as sales offices, customer service reps andor plantproduction departments as required. This position will also ensure the systemsdata integrity and accuracy of productionplanning reports as required. Thisis a salaried position in a high-speed, high-volume manufacturing environmentwhere compliance to all safety policies, procedures and regulations is our wayof doing business. We are looking for team-oriented individuals who arecommitted to customer quality, continuous improvement and achieving WorldClass Performance.Day to day responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the following :
  • AssistsCoordinates in
  • Developing Master Schedule requirements from demand forecast, plant capacity, and historical data
  • Interacting with production and sales personnel to update and advise of progress and new developments.
  • Managing volume and manufacturing location changes between factories as needed to meet customer requirements
  • Monitoring inventories in an effort to minimize costs and achieve Plant inventory goals
  • Overseeing development and maintenance of tools that enhance production planning capability for the Division
  • Maintaining accurate needs attention and obsolete inventory and implement measures for improvement
  • Trackinganalyzing data and producing required reports
  • Updating and maintaining the planning production system
  • Interface with manufacturing personnel, purchasing personnel, etc. on material status and production planning issues
  • Coordinates with the manufacturing floor to actively manage the production schedule.
  • Follows and audits production orders through the production process to ensure the proper schedule is followed
  • Monitors manufacturing system transactions for accuracy and works with leaders to correct discrepancies and eliminate the fundamental causes of the problems
  • Coordinates material delivery with inventory to support manufacturing schedule. May examine material delivered to production to verify conformance to specifications
  • Compiles records such as material inventory, in process production reports, and status and location of materials
  • Performs system transactions to report movement of material between manufacturing operations and into finished goods
  • Monitors daily progress of manufacturing orders, quality, service, and delivery issues and issues corrective actions as needed
  • Plans and schedules production orders based on established priorities and the availability of required materials and capacity. Follows up to determine actual performance versus estimates.
  • Assembles work order packets complete with work order router, completion dates, and instructions for subsequent operations.
  • Maintain the capacity report so that it can be used as a tool in the planning and scheduling process inventory levels and additional metric reports for Manager
  • Provide excellent customer service to visitors in person and over the phone
  • Maintain supply and order plant office supplies
  • Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned
  • Requirements include :
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook with a strong emphasis on Excel and linked spreadsheets
  • High SchoolGED required. Additional education a plus
  • Must possess effective oral and written communication skills, be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and highly organized
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • 5 years in administrativecustomer service. Inventory control and manufacturing experience a plus
  • Must be able to work safely in both an office and factory environment
  • Possess the willingness to obtain a working knowledge of the manufacturing lines; understand their processes, limitations, timelines, capabilities and restrictions in order to better fulfill your job responsibilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as working self-directed and independently
  • Physical Requirements & Working conditions :
  • While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and maybe be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • The employee may be required to lift andor move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Generally works in an office andor plant environment.
  • The employee may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures
  • The employee may be exposed to loud machinery.
