As a key member of our EHS Department, the Regional EHS Manager will work closely with our manufacturing sites on an array of EHS issues to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with federal, state and local regulations. As the liaison between Corporate EHS and our manufacturing locations, your responsibilities will include:
Supervising and ensuring Environmental, Health & Safety compliance with Corporate, State & Federal standards for multiple nationwide facilities.
Key areas of Health & Safety focus: Lockout Tagout, Personal Protective Equipment, Hearing Conservation, Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, Confined Space, Bloodborne Pathogens, Forklift, Fire Protection, Mechanical Power Press, Fall Protection, Electrical Safety, Emergency Action.
Key areas of Environmental focus: Air emissions compliance, storm water pollution prevention (SWPP), process wastewater, spill prevention control countermeasures (SPCC), pollution prevention (P2), hazardous waste management.
Conduct annual EHS audits and provide support and direction for corrective action.
Provide regulatory interpretation and guidance to Corporate, Divisions, and Plants.
Deliver required training programs and support to plant management and EHS personnel
Manage and organize network meetings and best practice development and sharing.
Monitor and coordinate plant EHS permitting and legal compliance.
Conduct investigations into injuries, incidents, chemical releases, and complaints.
Advise and support plants when contacting external bodies and authorities.
Recommend improvements in processes, design, procedures, and programs to minimize risk.
Network with other Regional EHS Managers.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Bachelor's degree in health & safety related field, or equivalent work experience. C.S.P designation is a plus.
8 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations.
Basic knowledge of EPA related standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Proven project management skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
This position will be responsible for multiple locations throughout the US and Canada, requiring approximately 50% overnight travel.
