Senior Technical Support Specialist

Crown Cork & Seal USA, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Support Specialist to join our Materials and Crown Technology team. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support to our clients and internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials science or engineering, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will be responsible for investigating quality problems, customer complaints, and consumer issues using a range of techniques including performance testing, microscopy, and metallography. Your expertise will also include managing work requests, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring efficient allocation of resources.

You will contribute to the wider activities of Materials and Crown Technology by taking a proactive approach to environment, health, and safety initiatives, and participating in development and innovation teams as required. In addition, you will be expected to maintain proactive communication with stakeholders and regularly review work for value-added opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate quality problems, customer complaints, and consumer issues using a range of techniques.
• Manage and record work requests using appropriate IT systems.
• Prioritize tasks to ensure business needs are met and time is used effectively.
• Liaise with other teams, departments, and external resources to establish root causes of problems.
• Maintain proactive communication with stakeholders.
• Regularly review work for value-added opportunities.

Requirements:

• Degree in science or engineering subject.
• Several years' relevant experience in a similar technical support role.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a laboratory or manufacturing environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to manage and plan multiple work requests.
