This state-of-the-art facility will manufacture specialty beverage cans for some of the top consumer product companies. We are in the process of assembling a world class team of individuals to operate this facility and are looking for a Fork Lift Driver. DIVISION OVERVIEW : Crown’s Beverage Division manufactures a variety of packaging solutions for soft drinks, craft beers, coffees and teas as well as new energy drinks. Crown Beverage leads the packaging industry with innovative technologies that redefine how the world looks at beverage cans. With a large printable surface area and a wide range of sizes, shapes and decorating options, our aluminum cans are the perfect packaging format to create compelling brand presence where it counts. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES : Responsibilities include : Ensures all equipment, guards, and safety devices are in place at all times, and follows safe work procedures and safety rulesOperates powered industrial trucks to pull pallets from the outgoing conveyor line and transport inventory to the warehouse.Operates powered industrial trucks to transport inventory and load tractor trailers for shipment.Transports inventory in warehouse to correct locations and stages orders for shipment.Understands daily production schedule and corresponds with mgmt. leads, and coworkers accordingly Performs visual inspection of aluminum cans and packaging qualityEnsures dunnage (ie : pallets, slip sheets, top frames etc) are available in outgoing area Transfers HFI’d pallets to proper storage locationsMonitors equipment, processes, or schedules, and reports problems to supervisorFollows all SOP’s and communicates with proper personnel as concerns or issues ariseAssist QA in locating pallets for samplingKeeps equipment and all areas safe, clean, and organized through proper housekeeping Performs other related duties as required QUALIFICATIONS : RequirementsHigh School diploma or G.E.D preferred2-3 year previous forklift manufacturing / production experience.Must be available to work various shifts if needed and be able to work nights, weekends, and overtime to cover absences or provide additional support. CompetenciesGood oral and written communications skills. Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills. Ability to understand and speak basic English. Ability to work with a team or individually without issue. Must be Crown certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
