What you’ll get to do:
· Provide timely departmental performance metrics
· Improve profit margins
- Manage budgets and update as needed to meet organizational requirements
- Update and maintain breakeven metrics
- Review purchasing – overhead and job related.
- Review direct and indirect costs
· Tax planning and strategies throughout the year
· Manage professional relationships – banking, insurance, legal
· Ensure that bank reconciliations are accurately completed
· Oversee weekly payroll and monthly commissions
· Manage collections
· Maintain compliance with all state, federal, local, corporate, and other applicable taxes, as well as business licensing
· Gather information required to prepare tax returns
· Utilize our software programs for trends, forecasts and potential problems, and present reports to responsible managers
· Production of timely and accurate financials
- Provide executive summary for statements
- Balance sheet
- Company-wide P&L
- Departmental P&L to Departmental Managers, and review accordingly
- Meet with area/department managers to review budget versus actual quarterly with summary report to CEO

What we expect you’ve already done:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
· Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting
· Proven success in managing people and systems
· Strong interpersonal skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to work with all department heads to achieve objectives
· Proficient computer skills in all facets of Microsoft and Quickbooks
· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents
· Must have a team-oriented approach and act cooperatively with other department heads
· Ability to focus on details but also see the big picture
· Strong leadership skills
· Willingness to do whatever is necessary to get the job done
· Ability to lead and motivate teams to reach a common goal
· Ability to work both independently and in a team
· CPA, preferred but not required

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
- Proven experience in general ledger accounting and financial management.
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts and principles.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software is essential.
- Excellent skills in balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to perform financial report writing with clarity and precision.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
