About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced painter to join our team at Quitman Plant, 0020. As a painter, you will be responsible for ensuring that all surfaces are properly prepared and painted to meet our high standards. You will work closely with our maintenance team to ensure that all painting projects are completed on time and to the highest quality. Your attention to detail and commitment to professionalism will be essential in this role.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a painter
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
- Experience with precision measuring tools
- Experience operating scissor lifts
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Proficiency with hand tools and machines
- General maintenance knowledge
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in painting or related field
- Experience with industrial painting
- Experience with electrostatic painting
- Experience with powder coating
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or cracks
- Apply paint or other finishes using a variety of techniques and tools
- Ensure that all painting projects are completed on time and to the highest quality
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Communicate effectively with the maintenance team to ensure that all painting projects are completed according to specifications
Skills:
As a painter, you will use your skills in precision measuring, scissor lift operation, and hand tool and machine operation on a daily basis.
