Job Summary:
The primary purpose of the Production Supervisor is to ensure effective, safe, and cost-efficient operations and effective staff management in the soil and washroom. This includes working directly with clean side production supervisors to ensure the correct mix of products are always going thru the washing machines.
Duties & Essential Job Functions
- Maintain quality and order with the highest rates of efficiency on the soil line. Train and supervise associates to achieve and maintain 12-15 bins per hour rate and proper sorting techniques to ensure that all lots are kept separate and soil classifications remain “clean”.
- Maintain quality and order with the highest rate of efficiency on the CBW’s. Train and supervise associates to achieve and maintain proper pocket per hour transfer rate and a per pocket poundage of 100 lbs ( /- 10%). Closely supervise associates to maintain a mixture of goods to the finishing floor by providing them with hourly wash lists so that management maintains control of the flow and not the loader.
- Maintain quality and order with the highest rate of efficiency in the back washroom. Train and supervise associates to achieve at least 25K pounds per day production with stain wash and incontinent items. Ensure that dryers remain productive to ensure steady flow of goods to finishing floor.
- Maintain strong communication with both the Production Supervisor and the Shipping supervisor to ensure timely production of goods to the finishing floor.
- Manage your associates’ hours wisely to produce maximum output while minimizing labor costs and eliminating overtime.
- Work a 5-day schedule of a minimum of 10 hours. Periodic demands of the business (i.e. hurricanes or other weather issues, power failure, or equipment breakdowns) will dictate a six-day schedule or possibly a seven-day schedule. Every effort will be made to compensate salaried employees for missed time off with extra days off, business allowing.

- React immediately to perceived safety violations or issues, notifying the Plant Manager.

Track and communicate necessary information to employees regarding production targets, achievements, etc.
- Communicate visibly via a Production Board
- Hold periodic department meetings to discuss accomplishments.
- Responsible for ensuring that production reports are completed correctly every day for the employees under his/her supervision

Responsible for product quality:
- Ensure that formulas and processes are documented, taught, and followed.

Handle administrative duties as needed:
- Generate reports as needed in a timely manner
- Work with office staff to ensure that new hire paperwork and other reporting is handled efficiently and accurately.

Qualifications
- The ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without an accommodation.
- At least 3 years Production experience in a related production environment, preferably in a lead position
- Solid leadership acumen
- Excellent organizational skills
- Has succeeded at a job that required attention to detail, flourishing in a fast pace and measuring/communicating results
- Exceptional internal collaboration skills
- Familiarity with production safety regulations/issues
