Description
GENERAL PURPOSE |
This position is responsible for properly recognizing the correct linen belonging to the account being processed. You must ensure there is no mixed, dirty, or damaged linen before feeding into the machine or hand folding it. You must maintain a fast-paced speed meeting company’s expectation, while practicing safety procedures. In addition, the Production Operators will help on making sure the machinery is working properly, by communicating with their leaders of any issues.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Performs quality inspection to ensure that linen meets the customer's quality specifications
- Places clean and inspected linen into designated cart/bin
- Places linen that has been rejected due to quality or linen that has damage in the appropriate bag to return to the hotel
- Fills out label detailing product content of bin by hotel, linen specification, and confirmation of quality inspection
- Notifies the supervisor of any issues with the quality of the linen to ensure proper handling
- Other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS |
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
- 3 months or more related experience in a commercial laundry or hotel industry.
- Ability to understand, comprehend, and follow simple instructions, short correspondence, and product labeling.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to meet required performance goals and objectives.
- Ability to work in a team environment and alone.
- Good communications, both orally and written in English.
- Must have good attention to detail.
