GENERAL PURPOSE |
This position is responsible for delivering and picking up customer linen in a timely and professional manner within assigned routes utilizing delivery vehicles like trailers, box trucks, and/or cargo vans.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Operates a delivery vehicle (trailer box trucks, cargo van) assigned by the company to the driver with an established or alternate route as scheduled.
- Delivering carts (metros) in the most time-efficient manner and collecting signed delivery tickets.
- Validates the content of delivery by performing a reconciliation of carts (metros) to be delivered to customer and from customer.
- Performs pre and post-delivery vehicle (trailer box trucks, cargo van) inspections daily.
- Maintains the condition of the delivery vehicle (trailer box trucks, cargo van) clean and disinfected, based on company protocol and guidelines.
- When ending the shift, the delivery vehicle (trailer box trucks, cargo van) must have a full gas tank.
- Provides reports about any maintenance issues related to the delivery vehicle (trailer box trucks, cargo van) (box or trailer) or any other concerns.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures.
- Adheres to all traffic rules and DOT regulations.
- Must be punctual and stringent about timings and make no delays in deliveries.
- Must be prepared to work in any traffic pattern, severe weather, and strict deadlines according to our business needs.
- Must always be in full uniform provided by the company.
- Will always provide professional and courteous service to our customers and their staff.
- Will communicate with Logistic Manager any customer or route concerns.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS |
- Must have a valid driver’s license Class A.
- Must have a valid medical card.
- Must have 2 or more years of related experience.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a drug and background test.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
- Must be able to work independently, be responsible for routes, and work unsupervised 90% of the time.
- Must have a clear understanding of the importance of meeting deadlines and commitments.
- The ability to effectively meet customer needs.
- Candidates will be subject to all DOT pre-hire requirements.
