We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Route Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to all traffic regulations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the integrity of the cargo.
*Duties*
- Operate delivery vehicles, including vans and trucks, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of items to prevent damage.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules while maintaining flexibility for last-minute changes.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies during transportation activities.
*Experience*
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Experience in route driving and knowledge of local traffic patterns is beneficial.
- A background in commercial driving or moving services is advantageous.
