The Route Supervisor will support and assist the service department by directly managing the day to day operations of a team of assigned Route Service Representative, providing customer service and management relating to the full customer relationship including, training and development of the Route Service Representatives, jumping routes in the absence of Route Service Representatives, and also assisting the team to meet all goals and objectives related to the branch.

The Route Supervisor will support and assist the service department by directly managing the day to day operations of a team of assigned Route Service Representative, providing customer service and management relating to the full customer relationship including, training and development of the Route Service Representatives, jumping routes in the absence of Route Service Representatives, and also assisting the team to meet all goals and objectives related to the branch.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following
- Responsible for providing leadership, resolving customer service issues, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Promote a positive work environment and assist in developing a cohesive team.
- Responsible for the on-going management and development of assigned employees.
- Ride with Route Service Representatives providing constructive feedback on their performance and share that information with the management team.
- "Jumping" routes in the absence of Route Service Representatives.
- Deliver clean uniforms, linens, floor mats and other products to current customers and pick up soiled products at customer locations, when needed.
- Assist in meeting all required goals and objectives regarding customer visitations and up selling of products.
- Communicating cross-functionally to resolve customer problems and convey expectations.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by proactively communicating with the customer any changes to products, invoices, or other concerns that may arise.
- Respond and resolve customer issues, complaints, or requests and communicates all concerns/issues to the Service Manager.
- Meets all required goals and objectives regarding up selling of products.
- Handle, properly and accurately, all paperwork related to deliveries including, but not limited to, invoices and Route Accountability Sheets.
- Responsible for ensuring customer renewals are maintained.
- Providing feedback on current and future serviceability of products, offerings and programs.
- Ensuring compliance and reporting regarding quality and safety requirements/standards.
- Follow all Fleet Safety policies and procedures per the Fleet Safety Manual and ensure all fleet concerns are addressed in a prompt and timely manner.
- Report all work related accidents to Human Resources.
- Immediately reports any mechanical defects or problems with truck to a Service Manager.
- Immediately reports involvement in any vehicular accident.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 1-3 years of previous route experience.
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner both orally and in writing
- Ability to build strong ongoing personal and business relationships at various levels with customers, staff and vendors.
- Able to complete service-related tasks with minimal supervision
- Current and Valid driver's license
- Clear or Acceptable driving record
- DOT Medical Card or successfully undergo Dept. of Transportation Medical exam
- Previous experience in driving vehicles with GVW of 10,000 lbs. or more is preferred
