About the Role. As a Sales Support Representative, you will be the primary customer liaison, acting as point of contact during the full life-cycle order management process. This involves working with manufacturers, distribution centers, warehouses and transportation providers to facilitate product and information flow between our internal team and our customers to aid in the order process and resolve issues. This position is a frontline position which requires the utmost professionalism and positive attitude at all times.
Essential Functions:
- Collaborate with outside sales to build relationships with customers, vendors and internal partners.
- Deliver excellent customer service to our customers at all times.
- Assist customers with product selection based on their packaging needs.
- Answer customer billing and service questions.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to obtain product information, status of orders and to resolve issues.
- Communicate with customers for order entry, pricing, quoting, order status and delivery.
- Manage order entry, expediting, and proof of deliveries.
- Receive and process inquiries, customer orders, changes and customer requests.
- Review open order reports.
- General office work, answering a multi-line phone system.
- Provide back up on all warehouse paperwork: logistics, LTL, FTL, local transport, pick tix, ship confirming, delivery receipts.
- Assist with inbound/outbound freight.
Requirements:
- 3 years combined experience in Warehouse Logistics and Customer Service
- Self-starter who is capable of adapting quickly to a changing situation in a fast paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate with managers, co-workers, as well as all departments within the company.
- Excellent phone and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office products including Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Proficientcy in ERP Systems (JDE preferred but not required).
- Basic knowledge of inventory management, purchasing, sourcing, accounts payable, accounts receivable and supply chain management.
- Forklift experience strongly preferred.
