Materials Associate - 2nd Shift
Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-11:00pm
Overall Objective: Handle, move, and store various materials and customer products within a warehouse or production facility. Load and unload different transport items, record inventory statues, and make sure deliveries properly match work in production orders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow all Crown Packaging safety and health rules and regulations, and wear or use required protective equipment while working
- Report hazardous conditions and any job-related injury or illness to the employer and seek treatment promptly
- Prepare an Equipment Operator Checklist daily
- Receive components in required systems including WMS
- Ensure all products and packaging materials are placed properly within the designated kanban
- Capable of assigning LPN, work order, or GR tag quantities to work orders accurately
- Print labels as needed
- Forward all required paperwork to inventory/purchasing
- Replenish supplies and materials at workstations and in marked locations
- Perform the re-stock process and re-deploy process when required
- Place skids in properly marked areas on a consistent basis
- Understand freight bill requirements for outbound shipments per customer and Crown requirements
- Prepare Bills of Lading when required
- Follow dunnage process (inbound and outbound)
- Prepare bin sheets or tickets for running count on material as depleted
- Maintain familiarity of warehouse layout (bin locations) including floor assignments for inbound freight and how to locate with scanner
REQUIREMENTS:
- Certification in forklift operation
- Able to sit, walk, and move around for long hours at a time
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Basic math and computer skills
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in stressful situations
- Ability to read and understand written instructions
- Demonstrate attention to detail
- Ability to follow and enforce directions, quality, and safety procedures
- Must pass a 10-panel drug screen
