Purpose
The Elementary Teacher’s Aide provides support to the classroom teacher to ensure a safe and stimulating educational environment and assists in lesson planning.
The Elementary Teacher’s Aide is responsible for actively supporting the mission, vision, and promotion of Crown Point Christian School.
Qualifications
Experience, Training, and Licensure
The Elementary Teacher’s Aide is not required to hold an Indiana teaching license for the grade level assigned.
Must demonstrate personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
Active member/regular attendee of a Bible-believing church

Responsibilities
Coordinate instructional efforts by discussing assigned instructional responsibilities with the classroom teacher.
Assist the teacher in the presentation of lessons.
Administer examinations in accordance with teacher guidance.
Assist students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments in order to reinforce learning concepts.
Supervise and assist students during classroom activities.
Assist with student supervision while outside the classroom during transitional and non-transitional time.
Help students utilize equipment and instructional materials available in the classroom.
Participate in in-service training programs as appropriate.
Assist the teacher in implementing strategies for reinforcing material or skills based on an understanding of individual students, their needs, interests, and abilities.
Guide independent study, enrichment work, and remedial work assigned by the teacher.
Read to students, listen to students read, and participate in other forms of oral communication.
Assist students in the Learning Hub.
Alert the teacher to any problems or special information about individual students.
Serve as a chief source of information and assistance to substitute teachers assigned in the absence of the regular teacher.
Assist with recess duty and other duties as scheduled.
Perform other duties as assigned by direct report.
