Crown Recruiting is thrilled to collaborate with an ambitious agricultural cooperative in the Van Wert, IA area to find a Custom Applicator for their team. As a Custom Applicator, you will be responsible for applying plant nutrients and crop protection products to clients' fields, as well as maintaining and servicing application equipment. Custom Applicator Responsibilities:
- Accurately blend, load, and apply fertilizer and chemicals according to manufacturer and client specifications
- Calibrate and maintain fertilizer and spraying equipment
- Maintain and repair sprayers, spreaders, vehicles, and other equipment
- Receive materials and perform inventory checks
- Ensure cleanliness of work area, vehicles, and applicators
- Provide backup support to operations staff as needed
Custom Applicator Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver's license with clean record.
- Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have or have the ability to obtain a Commercial Applicator’s License.
- Minimum of 1-2 years' related experience.
- Possesses mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn about equipment operation and maintenance.
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic, self-motivation, and effective teamwork skills.
- Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds and performing tasks that require standing, sitting, crawling, climbing, and reaching in challenging areas.
