In this role, the Sales Agronomist will be essential in promoting and selling products to farmers, leveraging agronomy expertise and sales skills to drive business growth and ensure customer satisfaction. The position offers competitive compensation packages, including a base salary plus commission, and a hands-on training program. There are no operational responsibilities required in this role.
Sales Agronomist Responsibilities:
- Build & maintain strong relationships with existing & future clients
- Conduct sales presentations, product demonstrations, & give expert agronomic advice & crop planning recommendations to customers
- Responsible for increasing sales of crop inputs & related products to established customers
- Provide expert agronomic advice & recommendations to customers
- Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, & competitors
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement
Sales Agronomist Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, & willingness to travel within territory required
- Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, Crop Science, or related field
- 2-3 years' experience in sales within ag industry preferred
- Strong knowledge of agronomic practices, crop production, & ag technologies
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required & ability to learn/use Ag software
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
