This role involves consulting and supporting customers both in-office and on-site, communicating new product offerings and pricing, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, staying informed about industry trends and research, and developing tailored crop plans for customers. Sales Agronomist Responsibilities:
- Establish & nurture strong customer relationships
- Provide consultation & support to customers both in-office & on-site
- Responsible for increasing sales of crop inputs & related products to established customers
- Develop & implement customized crop plans for customers
- Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, & competitors
- Prepare sales reports & forecasts to meet company goals
Sales Agronomist Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license & willingness to travel within territory
- Degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, Crop Science, or related preferred
- At least 1 year experience in sales within ag industry
- Strong knowledge of agronomic practices, crop production, & ag technologies
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required & ability to learn/use Ag software
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Precision Ag experience is a plus!
