Sales Agronomist

Crown Recruiting is excited to partner with an ag cooperative in the Lonsdale, MN area to bring on an experienced Sales Agronomist. This role offers the opportunity to take over and grow an established territory, with the chance to hit your bonus in the first year. The focus is on precision agriculture, where you’ll use cutting-edge technologies to deliver tailored solutions that maximize yield and efficiency. You'll also build strong relationships with growers on a personal level, while minimizing operations work so you can stay focused on selling.

Sales Agronomist Responsibilities:

• Develop & sustain strong relationships with current & prospective clients
• Lead sales presentations, product demonstrations, & offer expert agronomic guidance, including crop planning recommendations
• Apply knowledge of crop protection products and crop nutrients to support client needs
• Create crop input plans for farmers, make farm visits, and engage directly with customers
• Make sales calls to both existing & potential customers to generate orders
• Provide knowledgeable agronomic advice & tailored solutions to clients
• Stay up to date on industry trends, market dynamics, & competitor activities
• Prepare sales reports & forecasts to meet company objectives

Sales Agronomist Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license & willingness to travel within territory
• 5 years' experience in sales within ag industry
• Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, Crop Science, or related field preferred
• Strong knowledge of agronomic practices, crop production, & ag technologies
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required & ability to learn/use Ag software
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
• Precision Ag experience is a plus!
