Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Associate/Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of heavy equipment, including forklifts and moffett trucks, to facilitate the efficient movement of construction material throughout the facility. This role requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and moffett trucks to move materials and products within the warehouse.
- Perform shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control.
- Track inventory levels and complete order fulfillment.
- Conduct order picking and prepare items for shipment in accordance with customer specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Assist with heavy lifting and transporting of goods as required.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other heavy equipment in a warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with pallet jacks, shipping/receiving processes, and order picking procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as part of daily responsibilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety practices in the workplace.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
