Pediatric Medical Assistant

Location : Eastgate, OH

Hours : 40 per week

Salary : $17.50 to $20.00 (based on experience)

Medical Assistant Requirements

  • Must show proof of MA completion through an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Some clients may require certification or registration status through AMT, NCCT, or NHA, or Certified Medical Assistant (CAN) by AAMA
  • Ability to make quick decisions based on well thought out consequences / results
  • Knowledge of EMR, practice management software and medical coding / billing strongly encouraged
  • 1-2 years experience Clinical Healthcare
  • BLS, ACLS, or CPR certification

About the Medical Assistant Role

As a Pediatric Medical Assistant, your responsibilities will include :

  • Exhibits professional image and behavior toward patients, visitors, physicians and employees and creates a positive impression consistent with professional etiquette.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and / or initiative in seeking or accepting additional assignments, and a willingness to learn.
  • Exhibits dependability in areas such as attendance, punctuality and timely performance of duties
  • Demonstrates proficiency in assisting with medical procedures on adults and children
  • Maintains safety and cleanliness of the treatment area
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of clean and sterile procedures in the use of medical equipment
