Direct Support Professional (DSP) Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current CNA certification, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree (optional but can lead to additional pay).
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to assist with daily living activities like personal hygiene, meal preparation, and basic self-care routines.
- Must possess a genuine interest in helping others improve their independence.
About the Direct Support Professional (DSP) Role
As a (DSP) , your responsibilities will include:
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation while fostering independence.
- Provide guidance during skill-building activities and socialization opportunities.
- Promote a safe and supportive environment that encourages personal growth and learning.
- Assist residents in meeting their daily living needs and track progress.
- Foster a respectful and supportive relationship with residents to improve their quality of life
