Medical Assistant
Location: Eastgate, OH
Hours: 40 per week
Salary: $17.50 to $20.00 (based on experience)
Medical Assistant Requirements
- Must show proof of MA completion through an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Some clients may require certification or registration status through AMT, NCCT, or NHA, or Certified Medical Assistant (CAN) by AAMA
- Ability to make quick decisions based on well thought out consequences/results
- Knowledge of EMR, practice management software and medical coding/billing strongly encouraged
- 1-2 years experience Clinical Healthcare
- BLS, ACLS, or CPR certification
About the Medical Assistant Role
As a Pediatric Medical Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Exhibits professional image and behavior toward patients, visitors, physicians and employees and creates a positive impression consistent with professional etiquette.
- Demonstrates flexibility and/or initiative in seeking or accepting additional assignments, and a willingness to learn.
- Exhibits dependability in areas such as attendance, punctuality and timely performance of duties
- Demonstrates proficiency in assisting with medical procedures on adults and children
- Maintains safety and cleanliness of the treatment area
- Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of clean and sterile procedures in the use of medical equipment
