Duties/Responsibilities
- Works closely with hiring managers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s hiring needs for each position
- Prepare internal and external job advertisements, web postings, specifications for external recruitment agencies, job descriptions and other materials in accordance with the organization’s recruitment standards and business needs so that potential job applicants have the information they need to decide whether, and how to apply for a vacant position.
- Screens applicants and selects qualified candidates for manufacturing positions (assemblers, wiring technicians, welders, machine operators, etc.) to present to hiring managers.
- Schedule phone, virtual, and onsite interviews with candidates for hiring managers
- Draft and extend offer letters for candidates in accordance with the agreed job specifications so that successful candidates have all the information they need to decide whether to accept the position.
- Conduct and/or schedule pre-employment screenings, including reference checks, background checks, and drug screenings.
- Provide feedback to unsuccessful candidates based on the job's pre-established selection criteria and the organization’s recruitment policies.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Assists with new hire orientation and new hire paperwork, as needed.
- Represents the organization at job fairs and other recruitment venues so that potential candidates have an opportunity to learn about the organization and its recruitment activities.
- Provide staffing updates to hiring managers including status of open positions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrated ability to protect and maintain data privacy.
- Good communication (verbal and written) skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Typically requires a Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in a Human Resource related function.
- Typically requires a minimum of 4 years of Human Resources or related experience.
- A professional certification is preferred
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to traverse the production floor as needed.
