General Purpose
- Partner with a GM and their leadership team to develop and deploy strategic planning objectives to build a dynamic organization that delivers significant and sustainable growth.
- Advise and coach the GM and their leadership team on matters related to talent management, including competency requirements, workforce planning, leadership selection, executive coaching, performance management, retention, succession planning, etc.
- Partner with COEs and HR GBS to develop and deliver integrated people and organization solutions, e.g., workforce and succession planning, leadership development, reward and recognition, etc.
- Consult and support business leaders on strategic HR matters, including organizational design and restructuring, talent management, career development, etc.
- Plan, implement and facilitate HR initiatives (such as workforce planning, performance review, employee engagement initiatives, talent review, succession planning, compensation planning and review) for own business segment.
- Consult with business leaders and HR colleagues to develop and deliver a HR strategy to meet the business needs.
- Drive employee communications within own business segment.
- Assist with HR communications and training of managers on new programs, systems and processes as required.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Ensure the consistent treatment of employees and the consistent application of Flextronics policies and procedures.
- Analyze trends and metrics (such as exit interviews questionnaires) to develop solutions and or retention strategies.
- Monitor the Flexpledge/CSER requirements, complete periodic audits and drive initiatives throughout the site in collaboration with environmental health and safety team.
- Collaborate with GBS on staffing needs within the site. Provide manager guidance on requisition content and at the offer stage provide advice on salary recommendations.
- Schedule employee onboarding processes. Plan new employee orientation by utilizing HR resources such as the HR portal to enable a seamless onboarding experience allowing insight to the Flextronics goals and culture.
- Foster and maintain positive working relationships within all employee levels.
- Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation. Conduct exit interviews to provide insight into voluntary separation decisions.
- Represent organization at unemployment hearings (based on business location).
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrates advanced experience and skills associated with performing assigned HR functions that are of a diverse nature.
- Demonstrates knowledge of multiple functional technologies/ processes, industries or functions and understanding of interdependencies of such processes at the site.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
- Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.
- Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management and public groups.
- Ability to respond to inquiries from external agencies, regulatory agency, and the business community.
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in a Human Resource related function; Masters or MBA is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of Human Resources or related experience in business with specific experience in HR, consulting, project management and change management.
- Professional Human Resources certification is preferred.
