Description :

The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the management, integrity, upkeep, and configuration of computer systems within the organization.

Supervisory Responsibilities :

Prioritizes and assigns team members to IT projects
May participate in the hiring and coordination of training for the IT Department
May conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive

Duties / Responsibilities :

Administers, installs, and troubleshoots a variety of operating systems

Performs systems maintenance tasks, such as system back-up, recovery, and file maintenance

Schedules, installs, and tests system software upgrades

Configures software and resolves technical problems

Provides technical support to end users

Monitors and maintains software licensing and maintenance agreements

Maintains equipment and hardware, and perform repairs as needed

Manages the purchasing of all software, hardware, and other IT supplies

Arranges service by hardware vendors to repair or replace defective products

Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements :

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Ability to explain technical issues to technical and nontechnical staff and customers.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Superior understanding of computer and networking hardware and software systems.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn a broad array of networking and systems hardware and software.

Experience / Education :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience required.

At least four years of related experience required.

Physical Requirements :

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Must be able to traverse the production floor as needed
