Position Title: Welder
Location: Howell, MI
Pay Rate: $14-20/HR
Welder Job Responsibilities:
1. Perform MIG & TIG welding on both carbon steel and stainless steel
2. Fabricate of parts for component build out
3. Some basic machining skills required
Welder Job Requirements
1. Accomplished MIG & TIG welder with carbon and stainless steel
2. Be able to interpret and build from fabrication drawings
3. Run orbital welding machines
4. Operate basic machinery such as a lathe, drill press, grinders, various types of saws
5. Be able to fill out work order time and material usage
6. Follow standard manufacturing safety practices and requirements
7. Ability to lift, push, pull weights in the 0-85 lb range
8. Ability to operate fork lift trucks
9. Ability to and experience in rigging weights up to 1 ton
Work Environment:
1. Work is performed in a manufacturing environment. This position has a traditional work schedule that requires five (5) eight (8) hour days during a Monday through Friday work schedule. Overtime is administered on an as needed basis as determined by the supervisor.
2. Shop floor duties will involve the use of standard tooling, being around light and heavy machinery, be exposed to noise, and will be required to follow standard manufacturing safety practices.
Candidates being reviewed will be given a basic welding skill test onsite
Salary : $14 - $20
