Bell Person/Shuttle Driver (3rd Shift/Full-Time)

Summary/Objective

The Bellperson is responsible for maintaining and promoting hospitality by shuttling guest to and from the airport and a three mile radius as service permits.

Essential Function

• Support the Crowne Plaza hallmark and service standards.
• Responsible for welcoming all arriving guest.
• Assists guests with front door and in unloading baggage from vehicles.
• Summons transportation upon guests request and controls traffic flow in front driveway.
• Coordinates baggage handling with bell persons.
• Provides information to the guests regarding hotel facilities and area attractions.
• Assist departing guests with all baggage and transportation arrangements including; driving guests to and from airport.
• All other duties as required.

Work Environment

This job operates outside of the hotel in all elements of the weather. This role routinely operates the hotel shuttle service and should understand all road rules and regulations.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Requires finger dexterity to be able to operate shuttle, grasping, writing, standing, walking repetitive motion, hearing visual acuity, and may on occasion have to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with expectation to work during business needs. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, may be required to work flexible hours if needed.

Qualifications

Education and Experience - Will consider equivalency of education and experience

1. HS Diploma or equivalent required.
2. Generally 0-2 years of experience in hospitality.
3. Positive and professional attitude at all times.
4. Knowledge of greater Louisville Area.
5. Ability to work with all levels of management.
6. Ability to meet deadlines in fast paced environment
