What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aquarium Maintenance Technician position at Crowned Aquatics Pet Supply?
We are looking to add a Part-Time or Full-Time Aquarium Maintenance Technician to our team. Please read the job description and requirements below.
Job Description: Perform routine water changes, maintenance, water testing, and cleaning on residential/business fresh and saltwater tanks in the state of Iowa. Provide feedback/suggestions to customers on their tank and make sure tank is performing at it's highest potential. Occasional tank installations, tear downs, and moves. May also have responsibilities inside the shop such as assisting customers and performing tank maintenance on shop tanks.
Job Requirements:
- ︎Must have excellent customer service skills
- ︎Able to lift 50lbs. over head and about 80lbs at sides
- ︎Valid driver's license, clean driving record and comfortable driving large company vehicles (vans, trucks, etc.)
- ︎General knowledge on animal husbandry/aquarium life and ownership is helpful, but not required. Must come willing to learn.
- ︎Weekends are rare, but a possibility if additional help is needed in the store or larger maintenance jobs come up. We are a small business and sometimes need help covering a weekend shift once a month or less.
We are a small, family-run business who likes to have fun and nerd out about animals things all day! Must have the initiative to work independently and as a team in a flexible work environment. Starting pay will be $15.00/hour, and at minimum, annual increases based on performance. Additional benefits can be discussed.
