Job Overview:
The Rental Sales Coordinator is responsible for managing the rental truck operations, ensuring smooth transactions and delivering outstanding customer service. This role involves maintaining rental fleet availability, assisting customers with inquiries, preparing rental agreements, and supporting sales efforts to meet company goals. The ideal candidate will have a customer-focused attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in person, via phone, and email regarding rental truck options and services.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to promote repeat business.
- Manage rental reservations and ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer needs.
- Prepare and process rental agreements, ensuring all terms and conditions are clearly communicated.
- Track fleet availability and coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure vehicles are ready for rent.
- Provide quotes and recommendations for rental rates and services.
- Handle customer concerns and resolve issues in a professional and efficient manner.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of rental policies, procedures, and vehicle offerings.
- Support sales efforts by identifying opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional services.
- Ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately and filed in a timely manner.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to rental operations, including invoicing and billing.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in customer service, sales, or a rental-related field.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with customers.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and rental management software (experience with fleet management or CRM software is a plus).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
