Key Responsibilities:- Lead the design and development of motion control systems, power electronics, and electric motor technologies.
- Conduct circuit design, simulation, and analysis to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Collaborate across mechanical, software, and systems engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Support new product development through all phases - from concept to production.
- Provide technical guidance, support, and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety requirements.
- Participate in design reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Must be within a commutable distance to San Luis Obispo, CA or willing to relocate.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 7 years of hands-on experience in electrical design and development.
- Strong background in motion control, electric motors, and power conversion systems.
- Proven experience mentoring and developing junior engineering talent.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with embedded systems and control algorithms.
- Familiarity with safety and compliance standards (UL, CE, etc.).
- Design experience with high voltage systems, power supplies, or inverters
