Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes at the front desk.
- Schedule appointments efficiently while considering patient needs and clinic availability.
- Handle incoming phone calls with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Review and document patient information accurately in electronic health record systems such as Meditech and Epic.
- Assist patients with inquiries regarding services, insurance, and dental terminology as needed.
- Maintain organized records and ensure all documentation is up-to-date for compliance purposes.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless communication between departments.
- Perform any additional administrative tasks as required to support clinic operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a clinic or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (experience with Meditech or Epic is a plus).
- Strong phone etiquette skills to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Familiarity with dental terminology is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review processes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and empathy towards patients.
- Basic computer skills are required for data entry and management of patient information.
