As an Inpatient Psychiatric Therapist you will be providing assessment, programming, and individual and group therapy to adult psychiatric patients.Implements protocols and procedures for patients suffering psychiatric diagnosis.Schedules personnel to provide coverage for all scheduled therapeutic groups and to meet patients' routine and special event needs.Evaluates current literature and study / research findings for application to dual diagnosis therapies.Develops instructional materials for use in patient teaching.Education and Training : Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Psychosocial Sciences, Nursing, or anappropriate related fieldMasters Degree preferredExperience and Knowledge : 3 years' experience in inpatient or residential mental health experience preferredor 3 years experience in inpatient or residential substance abuseExperience and Knowledge : 3 years' experience in inpatient or residential mental health experience preferredor 3 years experience in inpatient or residential substance abuseSkills : Physical Demands and Sensory Requirements : Balance of sedentary / mobility workSpeech discrimination within functional limits for telephone / personal communicationVisual acuity of 20 / 60 in at least one eye (with / without correction)Ability to communicate verballyWorking Conditions : Emergencies / crisis situationsIrregular hoursLong hoursBlood Borne Pathogen Risk : Category III - Routine tasks involve no exposure to blood, body fluid or tissues, butmay at times have unplanned exposure
