What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist position at Crozer Keystone Health System?
Performs medical receptionist and data entry duties as needed which include, assisting care team in patient pre-visit preparations, contacts patient as directed.
Assists patients with scheduling tests and referrals as needed. Obtains and verifies all required information from patients including demographic, insurance, etc. Assists parents or patient in completing forms and consents.
Follows established Check-in and Check-out procedures including charge entry. Scans, indexes and flowsheets all incoming documents to the patients EMR per practice process. Closes EMR orders, labs and / or referrals as appropriate.
Assists Practice Manager with Physician Dashboard. Documents follow-up in Performance Improvement Module for needed preventative and chronic care services in support of the Medical Home and Crozer-Keystones’ Mission to ensure the highest quality patient care in an economically sound and efficient manner.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and write
- Good Communication / Customer Service Skills
- Excellent Organizational Skills
- Flexibility to work schedule to extended hours as necessary
- Occasional travel between any CKHN office in Delaware County
