Purpose of Position: Oversee and manage quality processes at CRP Industries' Cranbury NJ facility. Ensure that all quality standards and procedures are adhered to, ensuring that products meet or exceed customer expectations and industry requirements. Responsible for driving continual improvement efforts and ensuring compliance with QMS standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949) through implementation and management of the Quality Management System.
Essential Functions:
- Quality Management System (QMS). Defining the structure, responsibilities, procedures, processes for implementing and coordinating the QMS as needed to comply with QMS standards (ISO 9001/IATF 16949 as applicable).
- Quality Assurance (QA). Planning systematic activities to provide adequate confidence that the products will meet with the requirements of ISO 9001/IATF 16949 standard.
- Quality Control (QC). Providing techniques and performing activities focused on controlling processes and materials to fulfill requirements for quality.
- Problem Solving. Utilize 8 step problem solving approaches (ex. A3, 8D) to determine true root causes of quality issues and implement effective countermeasures that correct problems and prevent recurrence.
- Develop a process analysis approach to support risk management. Utilize FMEA and control plans to provide process quality key points for work instructions.
- Calibration & Maintenance. Ensure that measuring devices utilized to control quality of products produce accurate and repeatable results by ensuring timely calibration and traceability as required by QMS standards.
- Test & Inspection. Develop, support & verify, test and inspection activities align with QMS requirements.
- Training. Providing training or subject matter that supports production employee skills training and education in quality-related topics, may include training for suppliers.
- Auditing. Managing internal audit system per QMS standards (includes conducting internal audits), second party audits conducted on suppliers or other parties as applicable, and third party audits conducted by external registrars to ensure compliance with QMS standards and the effectiveness of the QMS as a whole.
- Continual Improvement. Drive initiatives to enhance product quality such as training, process improvements, QMS improvements, etc. Prioritize these initiatives according to KPI conditions with outcomes focused on enhancing customer satisfaction, lowering costs, and improving process effectiveness and efficiency.
- Supplier Quality. Monitoring supplier quality performance and driving activity (using existing processes and other methods as appropriate) to improve supplier quality. Manage supplier return systems as necessary.
- Warranty. Monitor warranty return data and use appropriate problem-solving methods to determine root cause and implement effective countermeasures for warranty returns with a focus on enhancing customer satisfaction and improving overall warranty KPI metrics.
- Relationship: Working with CRP’s external parties as necessary to address quality concerns and enhance performance. Conduct communication with these parties according to CRP’s values, including respect, integrity and trust.
- Quality KPI Reporting. Develop, implement and manage quality KPIs and reporting at relevant levels and positions to ensure awareness of quality performance throughout the organization.
Requirements
· 4-year Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
· 2 years experience as a quality auditor for ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 or relevant work experience
· ASQ Certification will be considered a plus
· Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, knowledge of Sharepoint is a plus
· Industry experience in the manufacturing industry
