What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supplier Quality Engineer position at CRRC MA?
The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) ensures that CRRC MA's supplier end and processes are aligned to meet production needs while supporting the company's goals of smooth production and consistent output.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting vision and strategy for SQA in actions, in line with overall quality strategy and policy.
- H/She will define, deploy and govern the generic process requirement for QA supplier such as Supplier Quality Plan, PAP (Parts Approval Process.)
- H/She will execute and/or supports problem solving activities with suppliers.
- Use processes such as: SEAP (Supplier Evaluation and Approval), PRA (Project Readiness Assessment) and FAI (First Article Inspection.)
- Ensure the conformity of the purchased product by performing pre-shipment and source activities at the supplier’s facilities.
- Plan, conduct, and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure quality of products.
- Display professionalism through activities related to trust-building w/ peers to coordinate operations and activities between and within Departments.
- Project a positive attitude by guiding, directing, and motivating subordinates, handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve conflicts
- Perform related tasks as assigned
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related field highly preferred; high school diploma required.
- A minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of internal and external customers.
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook.)
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- ERP software (SAP), database user interface w/ query, regulation databases, analytical or scientific software - Minitab.
- Work experience in the rolling stock, railroad, aerospace, automotive, and heavy machine industry preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
