Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Job Schedule: Monday through Friday 7a - 5p with some flexibility. Weekends may be required during peak times.
Job Summary: The management, coordination, and execution of warehouse operations. Warehouse operations professionals play a critical role in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and handling of goods within a warehouse or distribution center. They ensure that products and goods are handled with safety, quality and care as they are moved around and monitor inventory levels to ensure warehouse capacity is met for timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between Ops manager and vendors/customers
- Inspection of equipment
- Inspection of product loading on trailers to ensure it is up to safety standards.
- Working with the customer to correct any loading issues
- Working with vendors on equipment repairs
- Ensure yard drivers and tarpers are performing assigned duties
- Working with drivers on equipment dispatch issues
- Ensuring drivers are performing pre/post trip inspection
- Ensuring visual checks or 5th wheel is being performed when hooking to trailers to prevent dropped trailers
- Ensuring yard personal and keeping yard clean
