Job Schedule: We have 3 shifts available!
Part-Time Position
Fleet operations is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a fleet of trucks. The main task is to ensure the fleet is well-maintained, meets legal requirements and operates efficiently to maximize productivity and minimize costs. This role involves managing and developing relationships with drivers to increase satisfaction and improve retention. Additionally, they work closely with drivers to coordinate deliveries and ensure timely arrival at destinations. Communication, analytical and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.

- Saturday & Sunday: 8:00AM - 8:00PM
- Monday: 4:00PM - 8:00PM
- Every other Wednesday: 11AM - 10PM
- Thursday & Friday: 11AM - 10PM
- Saturday: 8AM - 8PM
- Sunday through Thursday: 7PM - 7AM (shift start on Saturday working through Friday night)
- Friday & Saturday: 8PM - 8AM

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for the direct management and supervision of drivers, including ensuring compliance with HOS and DOT regulations, adherence to company policies, safety, driver retention and timely movement of freight
- Establishes solid business relationships and maintains open, accurate and timely two-way communication with drivers and other team members
- Exercises discretion and independent judgment to make safe decisions that balance the needs of the customer, driver and business
- Ensures absolute confidentiality of customers and drivers; follows suggested guidelines for database management
- Analyzes scheduled pickup and delivery appointments daily; coordinates loads for drivers and confirms that each driver is fully informed of all customer and company expectations on every load at the point of dispatch
- Monitors freight movement to provide safe, on-time service and meet customer requirements
- Monitors transit times of dispatched loads; anticipates and communicates any potential delays to ensure late loads are addressed with appropriate stakeholders
- Implement contingency logistics plans to secure on-time freight delivery in the event of a breakdown or accident
- Maintains knowledge of customer needs and expectations
- Answers a high volume of emails in a timely and professional manner throughout the day
- Answers the phone in an amiable and professional manner
- Answers questions within the area of the position’s responsibility or refers calls to the appropriate person
- Complies with all safety policies, practices and procedures, and reports all unsafe activities to a supervisor or human resources
- Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
- Communicates with Customers in a timely manner on late pickups/deliveries or issues with loads
- Updates load information based on customer updates
